Darren Heath, born 1970, is a motorsport photographer specialising in Formula One, and is Principal Photographer for F1 Racing magazine in 2007. He has won several awards for his images. In 2005 he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship to The Royal Photographic Society in recognition of his contribution to the art and science of photography in his chosen field. His work is known for its creative depiction of the sport: maximising the colour, vibrancy, speed and emotion of Formula One. During the 18 years he has been shooting at Grand Prixs he has worked with clients including Ford, Jaguar, BMW, Toyota, Philip Morris, British American Tobacco, Vodafone, Bridgestone, Foster’s, FIA, Time, F1Racing, Car Graphic, Car, Top Gear, The Sunday Times, The Observer, and Kraken Opus. Recent cuttings can be seen in 70% of the UK's national newspapers, Car Graphic magazine (Japan), Sport Auto (France), F1 Racing magazine, F1 Sokuho magazine (Japan), F1Scene (Japan), Motor Sport magazine,(UK), and the Grand Prix Yearbook. In addition to his F1 work, Heath has undertaken commissions at other international motor sport events including World Championship rallies, Moto GP, sportscar racing and editorial and advertising commissions for road car manufacturers. He has also done work beyond motor sport for Lucky Strike, The Sun, Conde Nast Traveller, the London Business School, Ford and BMW. Heath is based in London.
